***SplasH BacK***

Hi Everyone!
Over the past few years I've been collecting these gorgeous aged stone-look coasters. They look quite vintage. Now we don't use coasters in our home. YUP! Never... so I had a plan.
Those gorgeous splashbacks you see in the old English homes... usually behind the kitchen stove area? Well... I finally finished one for our home!
I used strong ply put in the back of a suitable wooden frame. Painted the frame with one coat of red so the wood would still show through and then used liquid nails glue to glue the coasters onto the ply... evenly spaced.
Then I grouted the whole lot and VOILA!
This is the end result...

*Mood Boards*

Mood Boards are wonderful for getting a vision across.
These four mood-boards were created for a client who wanted a new look in her kitchen.
In the middle of each board is her kitchen as it was and the ideas are then pasted around to give somewhat of the look we were aiming at.
This was done using an app called Morpholio Board. The free version allows you to simply create layouts and collages.

*Coat*Scarf*Jewellry*HOOkS...Vintage Look💗

I made these many moons ago... they are made from painted timber and door plates and glass knobs. Most of these are sold, but I'm in the process of making more. Different colours and using patterned timber instead of just painted wood.

*RePurposed Drawers*

A little while ago now, I picked up two drawers from the recycling centre and knew right away what I would do with them. Here is a pic of them in their 'before' state-

Off came the knobs and a light sand.
Then a paint and another light sand. Another coat of paint and then I rubbed on some gold paint with my fingers, just to highlight some areas.
I lined the inside with some pretty scrap booking paper and 'vintaged' the look with more gold paint... Just rubbed on with my fingers again.
Once it was all dry I used some beeswax and gave it a good rub and polish.
Added the gorgeous glass knobs and VoilA!!!
NEW STORAGE!
Recipe cards would go nicely in there♥

Hi♥
Have you heard of Redecorating? Restyling? Repurposing?
These terms explain something that we have been doing unconsciously for decades.
As our lives have gotten busier... sadly it's been easier to just buy something new to decorate our homes than to play with what we have.
RePurposed furniture... RePurposed  Homewares are giving that unique & eclectic touch to a home that cannot be bought in a store.
I would love to share my finds... my ideas and my pictures with you.
So make yourself a cuppa... pull up a chair & have a browse.
This is only the beginning♥
